Legal & safety
Swim safely, swim often.
Last updated September 1, 2026
Swimming is a physical activity in water. This page summarizes the participation agreement every swimmer, or their parent or guardian, signs at enrollment.
Participation and water risk
Swimming, diving and water games carry a risk of injury, and in rare cases of drowning, even with coaches present
Coaches adapt every skill, but swimmers should stop and tell a coach if something hurts or feels scary
Parents should share any medical conditions, including seizures or asthma, with the front desk before the first lesson
Health and first aid
Every coach holds current lifeguard and CPR certification, and a lifeguard watches the pool whenever it is open. In an emergency we call 911 and then the contact listed at enrollment.
Supervision
Swimmers under 12 must be dropped off and picked up inside the lobby by a parent, guardian or authorized adult, and a grown-up stays in the building during every lesson.
